Museo Colet

En el distrito del Eixample de Barcelona, al lado de la Avenida Diagonal, destaca una casa aislada de estilo modernista proyectada en  1911 por Puig i Cadafalch: es la sede del Museo y Centro de Estudios del Deporte.
En el año 1982 el Doctor Colet donó a la Generalitat de Catalunya la finca donde tenía emplazado su consultorio médico para que se instalara un museo y un centro de estudios dedicados al mundo del deporte. 

Actualmente la colección del museo consta de diversa piezas y fotografías de temática deportiva, especialmente objetos referidos al deporte catalán como los trofeos de Ricardo Zamora, medallas de fútbol de los campeonatos de Catalunya, la pelota de fútbol firmada por los jugadores de la final de 1942 o reglamentos y pinturas del Gimnasio Español de 1862. Igualmente interesantes son los objetos expuestos que hacen referencia al olimpismo, entre los cuales destacan antorchas y medallas, así como mascotas y piezas de diferentes deportistas olímpicos catalanes.

In Barcelona's Eixample district, on the Avinguda Diagonal, a detached modernista-style house stands out among the other buildings. Designed by Puig i Cadafalch in 1911, it is the home of the Museu i Centre d’Estudis de l’Esport.

Dr. Colet had his medical practice here and in 1982 donated the property to the Catalan government to set up a museum and research centre dedicated to the world of sport. 

The collection consists of a wide variety of exhibits and photographs on a sport-related theme, particularly objects associated with Catalan sporting achievements, such Ricardo Zamora’s trophies, football medals from the Catalan Championships of 1919 and 1920, and the football signed by the team from the 1942 Spanish Cup Final and the rules and paintings of Spanish Gymnastics dating from 1862 or rules and paintings of "Gimnasio Español" from 1862 There are other interesting exhibits related to the Olympic movement, including torches and medals, as well as mascots and objects belonging to Catalan Olympic sportsmen and women.
