El Paseo con Sombrero (Passejada amb Barret) de Barcelona es un evento cultural popular que invita a todo aquél que quiera a pasearse con sombrero. Es una manera de pasar un buen rato y dar la bienvenida a la primavera.
Organizado por las sombrereras barcelonesas Nina Pawlowsky y Cristina de Prada, el evento está inspirado en el concepto americano del “Easter Parade”, que es particularmente popular en la ciudad de Nueva York, donde tradicionalmente el domingo de Pascua se cierra al tráfico un tramo largo de la 5ª Avenida para que la gente salga a pasear con sombrero.
El Paseo con Sombrero es una buena excusa para que los amantes del sombrero se compren uno nuevo o desempolven uno que tenían guardado y así salgan a la calle con su prenda preferida. El sombrero refleja la personalidad de quien lo lleva, por lo que en el Paseo se ve de todo, no solo el clásico sombrero, sino también tocados, turbantes, gorras, chisteras, bombines y muchos mas.
La primera edición del Paseo con Sombrero se celebró el año 2005 y ha ido ganando en popularidad con el transcurso de los años. La octava edición celebrada el año 2012 tuvo una asistencia cercana a las 600 personas y este año se espera ser todavía más.
El Paseo brinda también una ocasión a los comercios de la Ciudad Condal para engalanar sus escaparates con sombreros y organizar eventos relacionados con esta maravillosa prenda.
El Paseo con Sombrero empieza a las 12 del mediodía en Rambla de Catalunya con Diagonal, donde está la escultura de la Jirafa Coqueta y acaba a la altura de la Gran Vía en la estatua del Buey Pensante.

The Stroll with a Hat (Passejada amb Barret) is a popular cultural event that invites all hat lovers to take a stroll wearing their hats. It’s a way to welcome the spring with a hat and have a good time.
Organized by Barcelona milliners Nina Pawlowsky and Cristina de Prada, this event is inspired on the “Easter Parade” which is particularly popular in the city of New York where traffic is cut on 5th Avenue and people take to the streets wearing their hats.
The Stroll with a Hat is the perfect excuse for hat lovers to buy a new one or dust off one they had lying around and get out on the street wearing their favorite accessory. Hats reflect the personality of the wearer and for that reason during the Stroll a great variety of hats can be seen, not only the classic shapes, but also caps, cocktail hats, turbans, toppers, bowlers and many more.
The first edition of the Stroll with a Hat took place in 2005 and has been gaining in popularity with every passing year. The 8th edition, celebrated in 2012 attracted nearly 600 people and this year that number is expected to increase.
The Stroll is also an opportunity for the shops of Barcelona to dress their windows with hats, and organize events related to this marvelous accessory.
The Stroll with a Hat starts at noon on the corner of Rambla Catalunya and Diagonal where the sculpture of the Flirtatious Giraffe is. From there we will walk down Rambla Catalunya until we reach Gran Via, where the sculpture of the Thinking Bull is.
